Oktoberfest is the worldβs largest beer festival and folk fair. It is held annually in Munich, Germany, running from mid-September to the first Sunday in October. The festival began in 1810 as a celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria. Today, it features large beer halls, amusement rides, games, and traditional Bavarian food and music.
