Remember back when you were in elementary school? Remember your school chums on the playground? Remember those one or two special teachers you had? You might even be in elementary primary grades right now. Letβs face it; there are a lot of school teachers out there. Some do their job, others skate by while doing or not doing the bare minimum.
My own sister, Daphne, is a Kindergarten team lead and former Teacher of the Year. Occasionally you come by one like her who is kind, warm, passionate, and extraordinarily gifted in her work. Itβs these rare gems that just have a knack for conveying what the kiddieroos need and somehow getting them to cooperate, recite, and put into practice what theyβve learned.
Oftentimes these exceptional teachers stay late to complete lesson plans or to work with deficient children. Many are team leads within their assigned grades.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER Day is celebrated on the 3rd Monday in January.
Not sure how to LOVE the day? Weβve got a few interesting ideas to consider that may help get you started.
Here are some activities that you can do on ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER Day!
If you have children in school, encourage them to give thanks to their teachers; give them a hug even. All of this gives these outstanding elementary school teachers the more required strength of today to continue and press on. Try sending them a merchant gift card thereby supporting local businesses and saying thanks to the educators at the same time.
Past or present β reach out with an appreciative message. Visit them in your hometown or in their classroom if theyβre still teaching.
Take a stroll down memory lane by getting out your old yearbook, perusing class photos, or some older student activity workbooks your parents might have saved. You might learn something!
Use social media posts with the hashtags #ElementarySchoolTeacherDay, #ElementarySchool, #ThankYouTeachers, #Teachers, #TeacherAppreciation, #AppreciationHolidays, #JanuaryHolidays, #Holiday, #FindADayToLOVE, #iHEARTdays to support the importance of celebrating, promoting, and sharing with the world why you β€οΈ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER Day.

The immense importance of having a good teacher at the right time in your life, no matter your age, is always paramount. We never stop learning. Many times teachers become the student later in years. Life is all about improving ourselves and the way we think and interact with one another.
Unlike higher grade education where they specialize in one or two disciplines, elementary school teachers have to do it all! Teaching the basics of all subjects while at the same time inspiring a spark in our imagination and getting us ready for future grades and well β¦ the future and what it may hold.
Sometimes itβs good to be nostalgic for another time you remember like getting a little more time in on the swings with your best friend Pacer before recess was over in first grade, etc. This day helps you think back to what or who inspired you to enter the spelling bee each year in your youth.
