πŸŽ‰ Something Nice for NANNY – Sep 1

Puppy helped us celebrate NOTHING bundt CAKES’ 25th Birthday πŸ₯³

The below is an excerpt of what I wrote concerning NOTHING bundt CAKES’ 25th Celebration contest. In submitting an 11th hour entry, I realized my verbose nature meant I had to whittle down over 6000 characters to fit within N.B.C.’s parameters. Phew!

NOTHING bundt CAKES in SHOREWOOD IL

In 2017, I was building a healthy lifestyle blog. My life took a detour when suddenly I lost my eyesight for 3 years and regrouping has been challenging. Cataracts & retinal detachments left me completely blind affecting my emotional well-being πŸ™

I’m able to function pretty well now although the world is different to me. It’s almost like being in a coma for years.

My mother-in-law, Nanny, has Type-2 Diabetes & battled cancer so bravely.

My husband, my rock, pulled double duty and did so with care, love, and patience for both of us. Needless to say, it was a tremendous struggle.

Nanny enjoys treats in moderation and definitely loves Nothing Bundt Cakes but doesn’t live near one. I didn’t want her to miss out on this special day so I decided to BRING the celebration to her since she just had a birthday!

This is my most recent and arguably best birthday memory – doing something nice for ones I love.

I have a philosophy of eating healthy but not depriving yourself and enjoying small portions. The new Bundtinis are a perfect example so you don’t overindulge in comparison to other store-bought treatsΒ  – and such a cute name too!

We happened to be traveling in Shorewood IL for our travel blog during Nothing Bundt Cakes’ 25th Birthday Celebration. We highlight points of interest, factory tours etc in the areas we visit generating awareness for a cause or celebration.

I heard my husband talking to her outside the store. Nanny forgot about the celebration and thought it too late as the nearest store is 35 miles. This led me to run inside and ask the accommodating girl to allow me to bring a birthday Bundtlet to Nanny.

Puppy & Clive on a mission to deliver Nanny a birthday Bundtlet!

We kept the cake on ice the entire trip in a little cooler and carried back on the plane. Puppy has been to 51 countries and we always take a photo of him wherever we go. This photo was to spread birthday cheer to Nanny.

My sister-in-law is a wonderful Kindergarten Teacher of the Year in Paulding county because she goes the EXTRA MILE despite having multiple setbacks herself including her entire house burning down.

Nanny, her husband Papi, and son are incredibly hardworking & have been there for me and their daughter despite their own health problems.

It would be appreciative to offer everyone love, support, & deliciousness for the difference they’ve made to others by giving her and her classroom a party including everyone in my life.

This would definitely be a celebration that would bring tremendous joy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nothing Bundt Cakes!
