TOLKIEN READING Day is celebrated on the 25th Day in March to celebrate the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, one of the most famous fantasy authors of all time. The event was first proposed by the Tolkien Society, a UK-based organization devoted to promoting the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

The first Tolkien Reading Day was held on March 25th, 2003, and it was a huge success. Since then, the event has grown in popularity, and it is now celebrated all over the world.
