This global awareness day is celebrated annually on November 19. It focuses on the health of men and boys, improving gender relations, and promoting gender equality. The day highlights the “Six Pillars of International Men’s Day,” which include valuing everyday male role models and acknowledging their contributions to community, family, and child care. It was first inaugurated in 1992 and later revived in 1999 by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh in Trinidad and Tobago.
