๐Ÿ•บ National DANCE Week ORIGIN & HISTORY

National DANCE Week came about as an annual event that was formed by a coalition of dance organizations back in 1981. Ten years later the United Dance Merchants of America (UDMA) started sponsoring National DANCE Week (NDW) since 1991. Today NDW is observed in late April with more than a thousand events nationwide in celebration.

Some include dancing performed by aerialists or Cirque du Soleil dance artists.
